| The first time used mon-euro invites you to choose a local currency. A simple tap on the relevant ISO currency and it's done. | ![]() |

| The mon-euro screen is divided into Three sections: The top section is for the "Price to pay" in Euros and the equivalent in the local currency you have activated. (This illustration uses the French Franc (FRF)). The middle section is for the "money you have given" or are going to give in either and/or both Euro and local currency. The first line is for Euros and the second for local currency. The bottom section shows the "Change in Euros" you will get back (or what is left for you to pay , if the amount is negative). |

| Getting started step by step: You have made a purchase for 6,90 Euros. Tap on the first "0" and drag your stylus slightly upwards until the "6" appears. Tap on the second "0" and drag up until the "9" appears. Immediately you know that the equivalence is 45,26 FRF |

| You wish to pay only in the local currency: You have five, ten Franc pieces in your pocket. Enter "50,00" FRF on the second line of the middle section. You will immediately see that this is equal to 7,62 Euros. The shopkeeper will give you 0,72 Euros in change! |

| You wish to pay with a mixture of Euros and local currency: Enter your "1" Euro and your "40" FRF in the middle section. You immediately see that this adds up to 7,10 Euros and that the shopkeeper will give you 0,20 Euros in change. |

| Shortcuts and other functions: If you have entered an amount of Euros in the middle section and you want to know the difference in local currency, tap on the local currency sign in this middle section. Here the result is 38,70 FRF. |

| Is it possible to use mon-euro before January 1st, 2002 ?
Yes : Tap on the "Change in euro" Value, This value is moved to the "Price to pay" zone. You can see the value in the local currency. (By clicking on the ISO of the currency in the middle zone, the number is bigger !). |

| To go backwards you have two solutions: - Tap on the "mon-euro" logo in the top left corner, select either the "Clear" or the "Restore input" menu that appears. - Tap on the "Euro" symbol in the bottom section. To efface a figure simply drag your stylus across it horizontally. |
